As a CDL A Truck Driver at McLane Company, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a distinguished team in the supply chain sector, offering dedicated logistics expertise to major convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores, and chain restaurants across America. Our drivers are essential to maintaining the effectiveness and efficiency of our vast distribution network, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our valued clients. Safely operate a tractor/trailer to transport products and materials to specified locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle to ensure road safety compliance. Maintain accurate records and electronic logging device (ELD) information according to DOT regulations. Manage routes and routines to meet delivery schedules, and communicate effectively with dispatch to report progress and updates. Load and unload goods as per customer specifications while adhering to safety practices. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues to the management. Assist in mapping delivery routes to optimize timing and fuel efficiency. Provide excellent customer service and support during each delivery interaction. Proficiency in operating GPS and other navigation systems. Strong time management and organizational skills. In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to handle physical workload; able to lift heavy loads when needed.
