technology at the world's best airline!The Senior Full Stack
Software Development Engineer will join our Onboard Service IT
team, contributing to software design, development, and the product
lifecycle. The role involves development, operations, support, and
enhancements of Delta's Onboard Service IT systems. As a member of
the team, the engineer will be involved in engineering, support,
and thought leadership related to the platform, automation, and
other activities. This position requires close collaboration with
internal team members, Portfolio Architects, Product Owners,
Business SMEs, and other IT groups.Responsibilities:
- Implement & support code for break-fix, maintenance, and
enhancements, and integrate container platforms with automated
CI/CD pipelines
- Design and develop cloud-native applications, features, and
enhancements with a focus on clean, efficient, supportable, and
well-documented code across the full technology stack
- Ensure adoption and implementation of Delta's methodology,
standards, and procedures
- Provide efficient solutions and deliverables to reduce project
lifecycle durations where applicable
- Own the quality of the delivered product through active
engagement in testing activities
- Create visual models such as flowcharts, class and activity
diagrams, sequence diagrams
- Lead resolution of issues interfacing systems built on
different technologies
- Participate in regular scrum ceremonies
- Support operationally critical environments using monitoring
tools, scripts, data feeds, and production issue analysis
- Lead and mentor junior developers
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiativesPay Annually:
$80,500 - $218,900What you need to succeed (minimum
qualifications)
- Minimum 8 years of software development experience in a
business environment or equivalent educational experience
- Expertise in Java backend and frontend, Angular, Node.js,
related frameworks and tools, relational databases, Linux/Unix,
Shell Scripting, SQL, Windows OS
- Experience with web application frameworks and API technologies
like JQuery, AngularJS, Swagger, JSP, Spring Boot
- Experience with GIT and DevOps pipelines, including TDD and
test automation
- Experience in RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring
Boot
- Experience with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and
build tools such as GitLab, Maven, Gradle
- Expertise in Java 8/J2EE, design patterns, relational databases
(Oracle), and PL SQL
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication
skills
- Ability to work well in team and time-sensitive environments,
with minimal supervision, results-oriented, with attention to
detail
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills

- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, with initiative
and drive
- Prioritize safety and security of data and individuals

- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.What

- Experience with Containers, Kubernetes, Docker, and frameworks
like OpenShift
- Experience with automation and testing tools like Postman,
Mockito, SonarQube
- Experience with Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS) and
application migration to cloud
- Experience with test-driven development
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
