The Mayo Clinic, a leading nonprofit in medical research and patient care, is seeking a dedicated Lab Processing Assistant to join our Laboratory Services team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our diagnostic services by processing and preparing patient specimens for analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This position offers an opportunity to enhance your skills in a state-of-the-art laboratory setting, contributing directly to patient care and clinical research. Accurately process and prepare patient specimens for laboratory testing, including labeling, sorting, and tracking. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with clinic standards. Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols. Collaborate with laboratory team to solve issues related to specimen processing. Participate in quality control and process improvement activities to enhance service reliability. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to clarify orders and ensure timely processing. Maintain accurate records of procedures and results. Ability to operate laboratory equipment Strong organizational and communication skills Attention to detail and precision Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Phlebotomy certification preferable
