Doctor of Medicine | Oncology - General/Other Location: Minneapolis, MN Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days Start Date: ASAP About the Position Hematology/Oncology Physician Join a leading medical team dedicated to advancing cancer care and hematology services. We are seeking a highly qualified Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide expert inpatient care with a focus on malignant hematology at Abbott Northwestern & Allina Health Cancer Institute in Minneapolis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, support a busy patient load, and make a meaningful impact in cancer treatment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver inpatient Hematology and Oncology care, primarily malignant hematology. Support scheduled daytime shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Participate in on-call duties as needed, including weekends and evenings. Take part in infusion coverage and manage 30-40 daily shared patients. Collaborate with support staff, including APPs, to provide comprehensive patient care. Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and coordination. Required Skills: Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology (Triple Boarded - IM Heme Oncology). Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience. Valid Minnesota medical license or IMLC acceptance. DEA certification and current BLS certification. Ability to perform necessary malignant hematology procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in large hospital settings and infusion centers. Familiarity with EMR systems, especially Epic. Prior experience with inpatient cancer and hematology management. Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in Hematology and Oncology. Prior involvement in inpatient and outpatient oncology care. Other Requirements: Ability to obtain emergency privileges during credentialing (~90 days). Willingness to cover 6-month contract with potential extensions. Experience with inpatient management and call responsibilities. Travel to alternative hospital sites may be required.
