Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.

considered. This position offers an opportunity to provide
specialized, one-on-one support for a first-grade student with dual
sensory impairments in an elementary school setting. The role is
designed to maintain continuity of services during a six-week leave
for the current primary intervener, ensuring the students learning
and communication needs are consistently met. Location: South St.
Paul, Minnesota Position Type: Intervener Substitute (Leave
Coverage) Duration: 6 weeks (starting March 2, 2026) Schedule:
MondayFriday, standard school-day hours Grade Level: 1st Grade
(Elementary) Role Overview: The intervener substitute will follow
the students established routines and individualized support plan,
implementing communication systems and sensory access strategies
tailored to the students needs. Collaboration with classroom
teachers, related service providers, and the Student Services team
is essential to facilitate orientation, mobility, curriculum
access, and environmental support. Qualifications and Desired
Experience: Bachelors degree required Valid Short-Call Substitute
License (PELSB) Prior experience as an intervener, preferably in a
school district setting Experience supporting students with sensory
impairments; deafblindness experience preferred Ability to
implement communication systems and sensory access techniques
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with
educators and service providers Key Responsibilities: Provide
consistent, individualized 1:1 support to the assigned student
Facilitate communication, orientation, mobility, and curriculum
access Address sensory, environmental, and safety needs in the
classroom Document student progress and observations according to
district guidelines Ensure seamless continuity of services during
the primary interveners leave This role is critical in fostering
the students success through effective, individualized support.

for this position ranges from $30.03 to $50.03. Eligible candidates
